The 2013 NHL Draft was considered one of the best drafts if not the best NHL draft since 2003. Did the Calgary Flames make the right selection with left wing Morgan Klimchuk? Calgary had 3 first round selections in a good draft and used their 6th overall pick on two way center Sean Monahan and 22nd pick on right wing Emile Poirier. The Flames passed up two bigger scoring power forwards Adam Erne and Valentin Zykov who were on the board at this 28th selection.
More goes into how these players do than their statistics but you can follow the statistics of these three players here for fun to start.
28th Overall Pick Left Wing Morgan Klimchuk Calgary Flames
33rd Overall Pick Left Wing Adam Erne Tampa Bay Lightning
